As you know, our main focus is cashflow. We define cashflow as the ability to make money through an automated system.
An automated system is a combination of people and technology that can put money into your bank account. Importantly, this system should not include you, otherwise it’s not automated.
This is very difficult for most people to wrap their heads around. They want to be involved in every decision. They want to do all the work themselves. It’s this type of perspective that will lead to long hours, no money, and getting burnt out. Might as well get a good job with benefits.
In order to succeed at generating cashflow, you must become a delegator, a facilitator. You need to get rid of the mentality that you can and should do it all yourself.
Obviously, if you’re just starting out, you won’t necessarily have the capital to fund automating all the process. So, you will have to do somethings yourself, but you must not lose focus of the end goal, automation.
Everything must become automated. The entire system should be able to run without any intervention from you.
Hands down the number one reason people fail at generating cashflow is the thought that they can do it better than anyone else.
It’s this thought that prevents so many people from generating cashflow. Here’s a few phrases that lead to failure:
- “I can land more clients myself”
- “I can build a better website myself”
- “I might as well do it myself”
Instead of thinking in terms of “I”, think in terms of “we”.
“We” is so much more powerful and more importantly, scalable. Your role in generating cashflow is about finding and putting the right people together.
In order to find the right people, you need to become the right person. Here’s 3 things you can do to become that person:
- Never complain
- Be grateful
- Be generous
Never complain about poor work that people do for you. Always be grateful that they were even willing to help your business. Always give when you can. Generosity is the secret to abundance.
By maintaining this perspective, you’ll project a sense of strength.
By projecting strength, you’ll attract other people who are strong. And soon, you will find yourself surrounded by powerful individuals.
